PROJECT OVERVIEW
Global Conferences & International Representation

Global Conferences & International Representation serves as TGGA's direct bridge to the world's most influential policy platforms. The association consistently prepares and sends highly briefed representatives to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) World Conferences and major international policy forums, including United Nations climate sessions. This global presence ensures that Tanzanian young women have a seat at the tables where international frameworks are debated and decided.

A powerful example of this ongoing leadership took place in June 2026, when a joint TGGA and WAGGGS delegate attended the UNFCCC SB 64 sessions in Bonn, Germany. There, our delegation actively advocated for the structural inclusion of girls' specific demands within the roadmap leading toward COP30. Representation at this elite level allows our delegates to step past abstract statistics and speak with authority on the real-world costs of climate change, detailing its direct impact on a Tanzanian girl's family stability, her school attendance, and her future economic options.

Beyond environmental diplomacy, TGGA representatives consistently engage in global sectoral gatherings focused on girls' education, empowerment, and healthcare. These international forums allow our leaders to build strategic, long-term relationships with peer associations, UN agencies, and global funding bodies. By maintaining this consistent seat on the world stage, TGGA not only elevates the voices of Tanzanian youth but also secures the international networks and insights necessary to drive institutional growth back home.
