
The Tanzania Girls Guide Association (TGGA) recently hosted a vibrant and inspiring celebration of World Thinking Day at Mnazi Mmoja, bringing together 600 students from 12 primary and secondary schools across Temeke, Ubungo, and Ilala districts. The event reflected TGGA’s dedication to empowering young girls and fostering leadership, confidence, and community engagement. The event centred around this year’s theme, “Our Story”, reflecting on the Symbolism and Values of Our Movement, emphasizing the history, unity, and impact of Girl Guiding worldwide.
Notable attendees, including the Chief Commissioner of TGGA, the National Secretary, the Administrative Secretary of Ilala District, and TGGA Board Members graced the celebration. Their presence emphasized the significance of the event in shaping the future of young girls and reinforcing the spirit of global sisterhood among Girl Guides.
Throughout the day, girls engaged in interactive discussions and activities that reflected on the symbolism and values of Girl Guiding. A highlight of the event was the artistic performances by Girl Guides, who presented a variety of cultural dances, songs, and drama pieces that conveyed powerful messages of unity, leadership, and resilience. Additionally, students displayed their handmade crafts, demonstrating their creativity and skills in art and design.
The TGGA leadership reiterated the significance of this year’s theme, encouraging girls to reflect on their journey within the Movement and how they can contribute to its future.
